The Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group (CVMG) is a non profit organization aimed at promoting the use, restoration and interest in older motorcycles and those of historic interest.

New Executive and a new Web Management Team

The October AGM saw the election of a new member of the Executive for 2012.  Jim Briggs, an Edmonton resident, joined the Exec as our new Vice President.  Many of you will already have seen his introductory column in the December Newsletter.

Jim joins a truly national cast including:

• Bill Hoar, our President from Ponoka in Central Alberta,
• Anthony Petti, our Secretary from Guelph Ontario,
• Holly Ralph, our Treasurer, from Ancaster Ontario
• Betty Anne Clark, our Membership Secretary from Toronto,
• Alison Green, our Newsletter Editor from Sudbury, Ontario
• John Tankard, Regalia Sales from Winnipeg, Manitoba
• Neville Miller, Competition Coordinator from Ottawa
• and two Directors at Large, Brian Given from Ottawa and Laurie Mills from Calgary.

Introductory biographies for all of the Exec are included in the About Us section of the web site.

Over the past months we have also added two volunteers, Ian Sandy and Dave Dobson, bring their skills to the management and evolution of this, the CVMG National web site.  Ian and Dave are both Calgarians and you can find their biographies in the January Newsletter.

January is the Season for Motorcycle Shows

The month of January will see shows in no less than five cities across Canada with the first in Calgary and Toronto on January 6-8.  Others will follow in Edmonton and Ottawa on January 13-15, and then to Vancouver on January 19-22.  Check with your local Chapter of the Club for information about the event in your area.
