Ottawa Section

The Ottawa Section covers the Ottawa Valley and Western Quebec areas. We have been a CVMG Section for 47 years, and have approximately 100 members.   We are enthusiasts of all things motorcycle and are particularly interested in riding, repairing and maintaining older bikes.  Some members compete in Official Vintage Races or Trials and many also ride current machinery.  

Breakfasts

The Ottawa Section has a breakfast every Sunday at 9:00 AM at Local Heroes (1400 Clyde Avenue, in the Bleeker Mall), and we tend to stick around until 10:30. This is a good place to meet regularly with other section members and ask questions about all things motorcycle.  Parts, bikes and expertise are often located at this breakfast table, so you may find that hard to locate the spare that you need or get troubleshooting advice.

Meetings

The Ottawa Section holds our regular Section meetings on the first Tuesday of the month, starting at 6:00 PM, with the business meeting starting at 6:30 PM sharp (or thereabouts, depending on the interesting motorcycles parked outside). The purpose of these meetings is to socialize and to transact any Section business. These meetings are generally held at Broadway Bar & Grill, 1486 Innes Rd., Ottawa. An e-mail is sent before every section meeting to confirm the location, as sometimes it is held in members homes.  If you do not receive this e-mail, please see the Events Calendar for more information.

Shows, Rallys and Displays

Members display their motorcycles at our own Annual Oxford Mills Motorcycle Show & Shine, and other vintage motorcycle club events. In addition, we also participate in other CVMG Section Rallies such as Montreal, Rideau Lakes, Quinte and various Old Bastards Vintage Motorcycle Club events (includes Northern Old Bastards or NOBs to their friends).

Rides

Local Heroes, is the departure point for most of the Ottawa section rides.  Please check the Events Calendar (a work in progress) for information on upcoming rides.

Like the CVMG, the Ottawa section is a not-for-profit organization; however, we do raise funds for a local charity.
